6 Scientific inventions that have changed the world

Louis Pasteur is a scientist, chemist, physicist, biologist and pioneer in microbiology.  In 1860 he developed pasteurization, a process for preserving food, and in 1879 he discovered the principle of the vaccine.

Marie Curie is a physicist and chemist. In 1903 she and her husband received the Nobel Prize for their research on radiation. In 1911 she was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for her work on polonium and radium. Marie Curie is the first woman to win a Nobel Prize.

Blaise Pascal is a mathematician, physicist and inventor. In 1641 he invented the first calculating machine, known as “pascaline”. This machine allows you to add and subtract.
