Lannion is a city located in the West of France, in Brittany and has 19,350 inhabitants.

It has an ITU with several sectors such as Networks and Telecommunications, IT, Information-Communication and finally Physical Measurements. It has about 800 students. But how do you accommodate all your students? Where do students eat? What activities can be done in Lannion ?

As for each student city, a student can choose to rent an apartment for the duration of these studies. However, in Lannion, there is a CROUS. In France, the regional centres for university and school works (Crous) are public administrative institutions mainly responsible for social assistance, international student reception, student housing, university catering and student cultural life. The rooms are 9m² but this makes it possible to pay less and to be directly connected to the ITU.

Students have different ways to eat. There are 4 possibilities at the Lannion IUT. They can go eat:
- At the university restaurant
- In the cafeteria
- In the city
- At home
In the university restaurant, people mainly eat meat such as chicken or fish with rice, pasta or couscous. There are also fries or pizzas.
Students can carry out many different activities, including sports and cultural associations. There is the ASUL (Association Sportive Universitaire Lannionnaise) which supports students in their sporting activities. There is also a fun and festive Thursday once or twice a year. Video games are on the agenda of students from Lannon. These initiatives are an opportunity for them to share a passion and strengthen ties between them. On this day, teams of four players play a tournament on the Counter-Strick Global Offensive and League of Legends games. There are also self-service games such as Just Dance, FIFA or Mario Kart.

The Lannion region is known for its Pink Granite coast. This geological feature extends over 10 km. It takes its name from the fact that granite has a predominantly pinkish brown colour. It is an essential place to visit in the north of Brittany.

Lannion is also known for the large number of companies in the network and telecommunications sector, including Orange (the leading French operator) and Nokia for example.
